Management

Management consulting is the practice of helping organizations to improve their services , operations, operational processes, advisory, restructuration, organisational changes, IT support, ... . Organisations may draw upon the services of management consultants for a number of reasons, including gaining external advice and access to the consultants' specialized expertise.

Socio Ecological Management (SEM)

We are proposing new social orientations for Responsible Fishing Operations that could be the social solution to improve sustainability and conservation of naturals resources. It is essential for us to integrate our work with the existing Local and Regional Institutes, Associations, COOP, GAL and other corporations. We need to respect their political objectives, owners data protection and privacy, ... . We are proposing to generate new dynamics between actual coastal communities, coastal organisations and Institutes. Natural Sciences Advisory has been in place for many decades to rule and advise Fishery Management services. The level of advisories will always be an important preoccupation but we need to introduce socio economic issues following implantation of actual measures regulations and policies and anticipate the consequences of new management orientations.
BOATS DON'T FISH, PEOPLE DO !

Information Technology (IT)

VA Consulting, to be able to support Coastal Development and Management solutions, created a IT department to respond to local communities needs all types of solutions:
- Data Base Management Systems DBMS)
- Web Design
- Graphic Design
- Network organisation
- Social Network
- Mobile Application App)
- ...

VA Consulting is focusing on Human Ecology and Well Being of coastal communities. Management is made by human for human and we believe that modifying Human Behaviour of coastal working at sea, we would be able to improve financial and social status to support small scale coastal activities.

To be able to do so, we need to respond to local communities needs and propose new emerging management processes, establish social consensus and propose Responsible Coastal Operations. We need to have a use multidisciplinary approach to be able to integrate Management, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Information Technologies to offer new management perspectives and solutions using shared and normalised information available to all local coastal associations. We would be proposing new management approaches where Natural and Social Sciences would be integrated advisory for decision making for the local communities that we call Responsible Fishing Operations Systems for Coastal Development (RFOS_CD).

We would consider that Small Scale Artisanal Fisheries (SSAF) is the main activities for Local Coastal Development. Artisanal fisheries are done with the 6 miles of the coastal zone and are the main ocean activities for our most regions. By empowering local Fishing communities, we are insuring and stimulating Coastal Development of Local communities we would be able to ensure the subsistence and viability of Small Scale Artisanal Fisheries.
